Hurricane wastegate blanket is based on the same construction as the turbo blanket ! The Wastegate blanket has carbon fiber fabric on both the inside and outside. On the inside there is also a stainless steel mesh that creates extra air pockets so that this wastegate cap can absorb even more heat from the wastegate.
The wastegate cap's first task is to protect the internal membrane in the wastegate from the highest heat that risks damaging the membrane or becoming obsolete and breaking earlier than estimated lifetime when the temperatures become very high. In addition to this, the wastegate blanket helps to keep down the temperature under the hood, and protect nearby hoses to the wastegate.
The Wastegate blanket also has reinforced edges and seams for best protection and longevity.
