Master brake cylinder installation
Quick info of how to connect an aftermarket master brake cylinder on to a brake system. The information applies to all sizes of cylinders. 0.625 "- 0.7" - 0.75 "- 0.875" - 1.0 ". The guide is made with OBP and Girling brake cylinders for reference.
AN3 thread = 3/8" -24 and AN4 thread = 7/16" -20

Master brake cylinder outlet (pressure side)
Thread The outlet is angled and has 3/8 "-24 thread with a convex cone at the bottom. Imperial thread has become a kind of market standard.
Seal It is possible to use adapters to seal against the cone in the bottom. These adapters need to be concave. It's also possible to use a washer to seal against the top surface at the master brake cylinder.
Size of the brake pipe used is 3/16 "and the size of the brake hose is 1/8".

Thread The inlet is located at the end of the brake cylinder and has a 7/16 "-20 thread with a concave cone in the bottom. Imperial thread has become a kind of market standard.
Sealing It is possible to use adapters to seal against the cone in the bottom. These adapters need to be convex. It's also possible to use a washer to seal against the top surface at the master brake cylinder.
Size Brake pipe and hose is 1/4 ". Sometimes 7/16" thread is also used together with 3/16 "brake pipe, so pay attention to the information.
